In May 2018 I had been looking on the web for several months for an apartment in a coastal town and particularly interested in Calpe although we had never been there. The detail provided by most agents was inadequate and frustrating. Many properties are on with a number of agents and the details are normally the same. The apartment I fell upon from homes-abroad was in Calpe and ha all amenities that one could ever want. Lars from homes-abroad contacted me and I said we were coming to Javea in our motorhome in early June and wanted to view the apartment and also consider similar properties close to all amenities.

Lars emailed me the price list and plans and there were two apt with the same layout and with a 8 m2 terrace still available.

In early June we met Lars in Calpe and went to see all the property. Lars took us to other apartments which helped us realise that the first location was just what we wanted. The next day Lars took us to the office and the two apartments were still available. We signed up for apt on Floor 7.

The apartment should be completed in July 2019 to obtain the town hall's occupancy certificate. We have a bank guarantee from Sabadell for our deposit.

It was entirely pot luck that I chose to request more info from the homes-abroad page as opposed to any other agent advertising the property, however it was lucky for us because there cannot be a more charming and helpful agent than Lars.

I am certain that Lars is overworked but that has not in any way impacted the level of service he has given us. He recently sent us several up to date photos of the apartment building so we can see the progress. We will be meeting Lars again after Christmas when we come to Calpe in our motorhome.
