After much mature consideration, we as a family decided to find the dream home in Southern Spain. Our plan was to find the holiday home that in quite a few years would also function as a year-round home for long periods of our lives.

Our search took place primarily over the internet. There were thousands of homes - over a period of six to nine months, I think we have been past at least 2,000 homes! But what is the right mix between location, home quality and price? How do we get the right financing? And how do we get qualified legal advice over our home business?

As a first-time trader in Spain, and with very limited Spanish skills - it's a jungle with a thousand drop groups and the opportunity to get really wrong financially! And the idea was to ensure a comfortable pension, not to throw the pension out the window by mistake!

However, all worries disappeared when we were introduced to Homes-Abroad.com and Tine Villanueva early in the process. We needed to find a financial sparring partner - Tine found a local Spanish bank for us, with a Danish-speaking branch director. We had to find a partial financing of the home, and when our own bank did not support home purchases in Spain, Homes-Abroad.com found a benevolent Danish financial institution, which in 12 hours had an even very attractive loan offer prepared for us.

And last but not least, when the deal had to be completed, Homes-Abroad.com could refer to a skilled Spanish / Danish lawyer who, in fluent Danish, advised us in the last important phase, where security for the property and the surrounding surroundings was reviewed - thus that we did not hang on to a dwelling that was illegally constructed, or suddenly got a treatment plant next door.

It is difficult to put into words the support we have received from Homes-abroad.com in the search for our dream house in Spain. But we can briefly state that today we are the happy owners of the most charming, beautiful house in Comares - overlooking the Montes de Málaga.
