My wife, Henriette and I became acquainted with homes-abroad in the early autumn of 2019, we surfed the internet to buy a holiday home in Spain, and homes-abroad.com came up as a possible partner. We wanted to go to the area at the end of November, and again at the end of January 2020, to look at apartments, and see the area outside the normal summer season where we typically went to the area.

We were quite sharp on what our requirements were for our holiday home. We wanted to go for an apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and large terrace, had to be close to the water, and if not, max a quarter of an hour by car, as well with access to large pool.

Before we left for Spain, we had together found 8-10 apartments we would like to see. We had then planned 4 days for these homes to see and evaluate and possibly revisit. This was repeated the 2 times we were on a sightseeing tour.

Homes-abroad is a super partner that provides counterplay, but also spends time to get the optimal experience when you are in Spain. Around bidding, they have been our advisers, they helped us set up a team of contact persons as lawyer, mortgage etc. – it was nice to be held in hand when such a large purchase has to be completed.

Corona teased in the spring of 2020, but we still managed to buy a nice home in the Altea area. We knew the area really well, and the apartment we wanted to buy, we saw for the first time online via Facetime, where Line from homes-abroad.com walked around the apartment and showed us the whole apartment with her mobile. That was enough for us to make the decision.

During the corona restrictions, homes-abroad provided a great deal of help beyond what we had expected, as we could not get to the area ourselves.

We then took a short trip down there to give the lawyer power of attorney to sign various papers, because Corona was still teasing. Here we saw the apartment for the first time right and we were confirmed that we had made the right choice.

We can only give homes-abroad, and their area manager Line our best recommendations. We received a pleasant and competent advice and help when we needed it or when they judged that a little advice was needed.
